ALMEN INTENSITY GAUGE
An Almen gauge is used to determine the intensity of the surface impact of peening shot.
This gauge and its relative measurements of Almen strips is normally used to make quality control checks to ensure that the peening equipment is not only setup correctly for the peening task but allows an operator to monitor effects of the shot peening process.
This gauge is made from tool steel to ensure that it maintains dimensional stability for accurate measurements.
The Mitutoyo dial gauge (Made in Japan) is in the British unit of inches and directly measures to 0.001 of an inch.
